I would just like someone to spread the word that in the early stages it's easier to hear that they are not interested that to have them just disappear. Disappearing leaves you wondering if you did something wrong where if they would just say that they are not interested there would be less second guessing ourselves. If they don't want to hurt feelings then they could say they are getting back with an ex or something.

I was talking to a guy and I decided the connection just wasn't there so I told him that I had fun talking to him but I was going to be exclusive with someone I had been dating. Maybe I shouldn't have lied but he won't know and at least I didn't just disappear.

Leaving someone hanging is a sick power trip. If you're never going to see a person again, you should let them know.

If you just need space, I say five days is the maximum you should go without communicating with anyone you want to kiss again. Booty Calls defy logic, so time limits don't count there.
